UCHC is offering retinopathy screenings throughout the month of September. Did you know that approximately 1 in 3 people with diabetes has some stage of diabetic retinopathy? The longer a person has diabetes, the higher their risk is of developing diabetic retinopathy. Our campaign emphasizes the importance of retinal health and aims to provide enhanced care and awareness to our patients and the community. Early intervention is key to detection and treatment to reduce the risk of vision loss. Date: August thru September 2023 | Location: Varies by day (Call UCHC at 323-233-3100 for details)
